Mind WinTech Summit 2023: The role of fintech in the development of retail business.
At the Mind WinTech Summit 2023, held on November 30, Juliia Fedosiuk, CEO of UAPAY, raised the curtain on the future of fintech in Ukraine.
She shared information about Ukraine’s development prospects and key fintech trends:
– Unprecedented development of cashless payments and e-commerce. According to the NBU, the volume of transactions with payment cards in 3 sq. 2023 reached 34.31 billion euros, with an impressive growth of 25% compared to last year. E-commerce has shown a 40% increase in revenue and is expected to grow further.
– Ukraine as a new leader in IT export. Strong education, democratic prices and high quality services have made Ukraine one of the leading countries in the field of IT outsourcing, with an annual turnover of more than 5 billion dollars.
– Fintech trends for 2023-2024: Juliia pointed out the importance of artificial intelligence, machine learning, open banking technologies, as well as the rapid growth of the DeFi sector and the popularity of tap-to-phone and QR-payment technologies.
In her presentation, Juliia explained in detail why Ukraine has all the opportunities to become an important center of fintech innovation in the region, given the powerful technological potential and growing interest in digital financial services.
